Today's photo of is Mr. John Osmanski. John is an engineer. And dare I say, smarter than you... or me for that matter. He talks in maths and algorithims. On this particular day a couple of years back, we happened to be hanging out at a mini ramp party near Hales Corners. The party was aptly dubbed the Mustachio Bashio. Everyone at said party had to have on a mustache. It was mandatory. The ladies had on little black felt ones, the younger gentlemen had drawn theirs in with Sharpies, and of course the men had simply closed their eyes and held their breath and poof... a full grown porn stache. But I'm getting off topic here. This photo is of John. And as you can see he has no mustache. John was wearing a little fake number he must have picked up at a costume store. If you didn't know John, and didn't notice that it was crooked, you would have never known the difference. Shortly after arrival at this bashio, I was approached by Mr. Osmanski and a wandering scandanavian nomad, Hurvey Haskins and asked to go shoot some photos at a small school ledge not too far away. I obliged and we took off. While hurvey got a few quick tricks in right away, John kept up at this blunt slide for a good 45 minutes before landing the one you're looking at.

I dig the trick, and I dig John. But I dig this photo cause I put this useless fence in the foreground and it's all out of focus and artsy. I think it's fun. I also shoot this digi... but just cause you don't know that, I'll lie and say it is a medium format square image. It's cooler that way... trust me.

In the snow
Posted by: Tobiah Deutsch On: Mar 15 2007
So a couple of weeks ago right before it started dumping snow again, I had the opportunity to go shoot a photo with Sean Hanley in an undisclosed East Side Milwaukee local. To say the least this was a sketchy spot. Little bank ramp set up against a big grey wall. I believe that it was put there by BMX kids who no doubt envy Josh's awesome Dyno ride. Either way, I climbed my fat ass up on the roof of the garage next door and sat there for the better part of an hour while Mr. Hanley proceeded to step off the bigger roof next door time and time again. The coolest part was the the owner of the business of the building next door came out and basically called Sean a pussy for not doing it right away. Then told us that we had a box spring he could land on for more "comfort". Either way, he ended up landing this little beauty and rolling away clean as a whistle. Congrats Sean, you're super.

Part 2 of Greg Lutzka's 2001 footage covering a period of time from 6/14/2001 to 12/9/2001. You can read about part 1 here and view it here.

I think I actually prefer the footage in part one, but there's some pretty great stuff in this one too. It's pretty crazy to think that Greg did that backside smith on the Marquette Hubba ledge more than five years ago. As the clip goes in chronological order, it means that he did that trick in December, meaning it was super cold outside. I remember afterwards we all went to a Girl/Chocolate demo in Illinois. An important piece of trivia for you there, clearly.

I should mention that I am missing some of the footage we filmed in this time period. One of the cds I luckily made sometime in the past with this footage on it unluckily doesn't read anymore. So about 15 tricks are missing. I'm thinking it wasn't anything important because I can't think of anything memorable that I'm missing, but who knows.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make any more of these clips. A lot of the footage starting in 2002 made it into his part in Hurry Up and Die. If anyone is interested in seeing whatever else I have laying around that didn't make it in the video part feel free to email me. Maybe I can be convinced to make another video clip.

Otherwise, as you may have noticed it was warm outside, now it's cold again. It's the Midwest, these things happen. We'll be back to perfect weather again soon, so no worries.

That reminds me that I have a lot of pretty good photos from this weekend and week that I still haven't had the time to get off my camera and onto the site. A travesty, I know. Hopefully soon, I have a vision of a Stemper photo montage which would make any mother proud.

I guess while we're sort of on the topic of old crap, here's a photo of Marques DeVaughn from maybe 2002 that is still probably my favorite skate photo I've ever taken.

I know I've had it on the site before, but this version is bigger so just let me get away with it this one time.

Have I ever put this picture on the site before?

Definitely my favorite bunny suit photo ever. Check dude's tite rims!

I love how spring teases us with days like these. By tomorrow it will all be over - for now.

Today was great though. Got some new contacts, which means I was able to skate again (I cant skate in glasses, that shit sucks) and I was also able to ride my bike outside without bundling up and freezing my ass off. The Wiskate stickers arrived and looked great. Thanks Ryan. We love you. Josh came home from work and we had a flatground session in front of the house and played a game of skate. Stemper called and wanted to get out there and thrash a bit, too. We skated a few spots, Stemper got a couple tricks on tape and we picked up Lord Cru to head out to Cream City to skate some more. Josh had a crap attack from the McDonald's we ate earlier. Lord Cru claimed three in one. Stemper spun tales of two in one with no wash in between. Josh and I joined the rock to fakie hall of fame on the "punk bank" (which is not a bank at all). Josh even did his on the new Zip Zinger he set up today. Captain switch frontside rocked that thing like the champ he is. The big four is almost there and looking great thanks to the hard work being put in by Roebke and Brian. Cream City is still the best place on earth. Make sure you go there at least 5 days a week.

I have tomorrow off again. If anyone wants to skate, I am totally down.

Happy picture fun time for you!

This is a regular afternoon for Josh. Get home from work, take Molly outside and then snuggle up with some felines and watch Star Trek Voyager. What a happy family.

I was working all weekend, but every time I was at home we had a house full of people. This is a very special guest watching a very special video. Lord Cru claimed it was a snowboard video or something. Pretty sneaky. But that's Cru for you; always stirring things up.

I don't know who this is, but I found it on the internet. My dream girl!

Elliot is top cat of the house. Gary is a total fucker. Sometimes cats play!

That's all for now.

Later nerds.

God have I been sleeping on the posts. Wiskate just gets a boost from our buddies at THE SKATEBOARD MAG and I am just caught sleeping like my buddy, well we know who I'm talking about. I got some sweet photos that my buddy rex took when he was in town. God is this guy great, a little cocky when it comes to ping-pong though. I have to tell you that rex and steve almost did'nt make it here and are lucky to be alive. This picture explains things a little bit.

As soon as these guys got on the road a tow truck lost his car and this was the aftermath. God, that tow driver looks like a killer.
I haven't been slacking even though I haven't been posting. I have been gearing up for the World Championship fingerbang off in Dirty Stallis. Check out the pop on that tre son!!!

Watch out for this guy. If you have any gay pandas at your house keep them locked up because this is what is happening around the nation.

I am getting too old and lazy to even skate aroud town so I just picked up one of these wounderful things. God I look good! I'm going to upgrade to the Tandom one when it comes out.

Shits just keeps getting better at
THE GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH!
We finished the punk bank a couple weeks ago and its a gnarler. Come on down and get on the rock to fakie hall of fame... Magna is sleeping on it, pussy.

If its 60 out and its old dude night does it happen?

As I'm sure you all know, this weekend it was perfect outside for the skateboarding. A little soggy maybe, but otherwise it was great. Besides that, there was a bunch of drinking, going to bed at 5am, and video game madness concentrated on Guitar Hero, Karaoke Revolution, and Wii Boxing. Whatever, forget the play by play, I don't have any of the pictures on my computer yet. I did shoot this impressive 'sequence' with my other camera though. Behold:

I actually even filmed a lot of new stuff outside this weekend, but not yet quite enough for a new mini video. Hopefully sometime next week? Either way, I should have part two of the Lutzka 2001 footage up really soon. Stop back later this week and maybe it will be ready to go.

This is a little bit old, but again, another reason to be proud you're from Wisconsin.

I just realized that above is posted the third video clip I've made in the last week. I've never made two new video clips in one week before, let alone three. Not to mention that I probably made three new ones in the last three years until recently. I'm pretty into it right now, hopefully I can stick with it.

The clip is of course, yet another Cream City video clip. Maybe a Cream City overload lately? I don't know, they're sure fun to film and put together though. It's seriously so much fun to skate with all these guys and all the nonsense that goes with it. As I mentioned the other day, best friends ever. How about Stemper at the end of that clip? Dude kills it. Half the time I can barely film him because I never know where he's going to go or what trick he's going to do next. Sorry some of the filming got kind of wacky. I may or may not have also been on the sauce. Enjoy. Cream City #5.

What's an update without a photo of some sort??
