Get On The Horny Train

I haven't had time to touch the site at all this week. Beez 3 is a-comin' and I'm super busy with all that business. Here's a quick winter photo for you though:

Tim Olson, winter wallride from last weekend. I think it might snow later this week. Garbage.

Everybody's workin' for...
Posted by: Tobiah Deutsch On: Jan 11 2007
...Thursday. Yes, Thursday. Why else would they be working?

But Thursday's people find themselves ominously close to the weekend and thus start things off early. I'm here today to let you know that you need not worry about starting things off early. In fact you may have gone a little TOO long with out a long night of binging. According to The Buffalo Theory you might be BETTER having a few of those nights every once in a while. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
...
You might take yourself over to Headquarters to take a look at some new photos. Last weekend your friendly neighborhood photog found himself at a few different spots trying to get a good photo. I think I got a couple. You judge... and let me know if you think they could be better. Critiques are always welcome. Hit me back, Let me know what you really think.

You can see Dan Nepscha here.
Marques Devaughn Here
and The one and only Beisel here.

Enjoy.

In recent developments the website Agroism is back in action. You may not care, but for those of us that spend hours sitting behind a lens, this is a fantastic development. If you haven't gotten your skate photo fix yet, you might want to start venturing over there. Skate photos like WHOA! You can register and post your stuff if you feel you're up to the challenge. One word of caution... these boys give good honest critiques. If you can't handle someone telling you your shit smells, then you'd best not put yourself out there.

Mr. Ellis and I have also been discussing cameras like the nerds we are. We both would really like to get our hands on a FULL frame digital camera. We've both been oogling the Canon 5D. I've had the pleasure of shooting with one on multilple occasions. I love 'em. Josh on the otherhand has been the bearer of bad luck and has never caressed such a beautiful body. It's sad but true. Just to give you a little taste of what it's like, I'm gonna leave you with this photo of John Osmanski beezin' like it's nobodies business... he even wore a tie. What a gentlemen. This particular image was shot with a Canon 1Ds. Oh what I'd give to be married to that piece of work.

I think it's time to get back in the update mode. We have been slacking harder than ever and using winter as an excuse just doesn't cut it. We have been skating and filming and working on BEEZ III and all sorts of other stuff.

This weekend was epic. Carn and Gabe were in town and a lot got accomplished. Gabe pulled a Ferris on Friday and took the day off of work to roam Milwaukee and skate and film with me for Scott Bauer's new video Ulterior Motive. We had some luck, got a few moves on tape and had a great time. Saturday Carny came up from Illinois and brought some friends for some more BEEZ III action. If I even began to tell you what happened on Saturday you wouldn't believe me. And if you did believe me, I would have to kill you. It all ended with Josh firing up the pizzaz pizza maker and having a feast complete with Dr. Bold's and Jack's mexican style pizza. I need to get across to you guys that BEEZ III is going to possibly be the most insane thing you will ever see. Make sure to come to the premiere when it happens. And wear some rubber diapers, because you're sure to wet yourself.

Pictures for you!

This dude is rad. A.K. from who knows where. He lived in my closet for a summer when I lived in Madison. Super good guy and has some amazing skills. He was involved in the "poonicorn" scandal which you may or may not have heard about. He's friends with Moby and some other famous people, but I am sure he could give a shit. Come back soon Adam.

Gabe loves his Guitar Hero. He also loves drinking soda with pizza (and Pizzy) and wacky ledge tricks. He's super patient behind the camera and that leads to inconsistent people like me getting footage. Thanks Gabe.

Josh needed a new board and figured since Pat's pro model has been sitting at our house for over a month (or three) it automatically makes it his. Check the prince albert on that baby. Graphics by Josh and I.

How did this happen? Josh got a gig at the Mardi Gras? Someone must have tipped off the owner of that fine establishment to Josh's antics while wearing his manties. Be there Friday for the show.

could I have a beer, and more beer.
Posted by: Mr. Twister On: Jan 08 2007
Well, I will start by saying sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I have been a busy bee that doesn't go out and get one trick for Beez 3, which is going to take the world by storm. Well, New years was fun. I got to spend a little time with my asian friends.

I don't know what it is about the asians, but I always find the interesting and like to surprise them. I gave them a Cream City koozie and had to show them how to use it. Super sweet! This is how I saw things on New Years.

Well, a week after new years my buddy kelan got hitched. He has a top notch video game collection that would make the old Mr. Josh Ellis jealous.

This man owns every sega cd except for one. Balls! Well, heres a couple pics from the wedding.

I am so proud of these peeps. God, they look good together. I promise to post more this new year. And now introducing Kelan and Brandi McAteer!

Do You Believe In Love
Posted by: Josh Ellis On: Jan 05 2007
I could talk about the weather yet again. That's super boring though. For the Midwest this time of year the usual rule is: if there's no snow, go outside and skate. How about that?

Last Old Dude Night I took one photo. I kind of messed it up, but here it is anyway:

Nathan Heilberger going off the hip and gapping to noseslide on the desk. I was accidentally shooting on ISO100 and was thinking to myself "Wow, these are kind of dark", and never realized why until later. I'm an idiot.

Skating outside on New Years Eve??? Well I never!!

Pat Forster with a slappy backside 50-50. He said he had done it switch before, probably ten years ago as this is a super old spot, but whatever, I wasn't there for the photo. Anyway, this spot is as fun as it looks. Except when it's cold as nails, like it was when Tim and I tried to skate there on New Years day. My head kind of hurt too, not sure why.

I will again try to bring you a few more photos next week. As much as I don't want to talk about how nice it is outside, the fact remains that we will be skating outside as much as possible this weekend. 50's in January? Old Man Winter is being a total puss.

Hey dudes, send me more photos. wiskate@gmail.com.

Another Tj Bohach photo by Eric Risser. I remember how stoked we all were when we first skated this spot back in the day. I'm glad people are still keeping the dream alive. I don't really understand how people can ollie up onto the bank with enough speed to wallride, but then again, I'm probably just a total puss. Like Old Man Winter. I hope he doesn't see me talking shit about him on the internet and makes it snow tomorrow. That would be a bummer, that dude has pretty good magic.

Long Time

So it's been a while. The hoidays had me swamped.... as such I want to just let you all know something... If you get married and have kids, don't EVER divorce. It makes the holidays a horror show. And if you don't believe me, go ask your friend with the hyphenated last name. .

Anyway, the holidays were good to me. I had fun. Saw some people I don't usually get to see and drank a few cold barley sodas.

I got some fun stuff for christmas... like a new one of these, some of these , and some of this stuff. They should all be fun to play with in the next year.
...
If you were clicking around in there you might have seen some camera bags pop up. I got myself a new one. I'm looking to sell the old standard work horse if anyone wants to pony up a little money. Its a good bag, sturdy and worn, but it'll haul your gear around real nice like. Fits big digi video cameras too for all you film buffs out there. I will say that the main zipper is kinda tempermental and it works going ONE way only. $20 OBO to who ever wants it! Email me.
...
Skating? Who the hell is skating this time of year? The answer to that should be all of you! It's a balmy 50 degrees out in JANUARY. Do you know the average temperature for this time of year? Welll click and find out. Global Warming anyone? Just for the record. I don't believe that what Mr. Gore is saying is false... but I don't believe it to be true either. Their have been ice ages and warm periods on this planet for millions and millions of years. It's no suprise to me that we might start warming up at some point. The only difference is that this time it's not au naturale. So we sped things up a bit... thats the whole goal of the human species... look at drive-thru's, microwaves and the awesome internets! Speed is inevitable!

Speaking of crazy documentries... take a hard look at Freedom to Fascsism. I don't know how if they're gonna expand the truth at all like this guy or if they're gonna try to be all scientific like Al. But the 15 minute trailer looks good. Besides, if I don't really have to pay my taxes, I might be SUPER stoked!

I like the skate photos that Eric's been sending... keep sending them! As a photographer I dig the square format.

If anyone wants to go skate... I want to shoot some photos.
Hit me up!

...

I'm gonna leave all of you with some goofy shred nasty. Snow... there should be lots of it this time of year, so it's fitting that their isn't. Milwaukee native and Colorado transplant Colin Tucker. Enjoy.

IcyHot on the Balls.

After a short hiatus, my computer is back up and running thanks to a generous contribution from someone that shall remain nameless. You know who you are and thanks. I am now running what could be called a "frankenstein" pc. Lots of mismatching parts and a really wonky set-up. I still have yet to install a lot of old programs such as photoshop (which means no photos for you guys today), but I should be back up to update par in no time. Sorry about keeping you guys hanging.

Skating has been happening, but in limited amounts. Josh and I went and skated a spot which is known to some and the "golden spot". It has actually been around for well over a decade, but now since the business has moved out, it's fully skateable pretty much any time of the day. Sorry I can't tell you where it is, but if you find it, you will have fun. Guaranteed. Keep your eyes open.

Josh spoke of our weird winter and I, for one, am happy about this global warming thing. If having mild winters for 30 years means having to drown due to the polar icecaps melting when I am 65, then so be it. Bring it on. It's a fair trade. Fuck the future generations.

I know Christmas is over, but if anyone wants to get me a belated gift, I really like Nike's and I wear a ten. Thanks.

Josh also made mention that BEEZ III will be out soon. Take your epilepsy medication, wear some pants with scotchguard and be ready for the future. This video is going to burn out your retinas with pure insanity.

Dead.

Also dead. Guess who I hated more and win some antacids.

Wonked if you do.

I'm not even sure if it's winter anymore. I think it was 50 out the other day. Obviously I say this now and it will probably snow tomorrow. Such is life.

I do have some photos from skating this weekend, and some older old dude night stuff that I haven't had time to get ready for the site yet. Hopefully I will have a minute sometime this week, but things are getting pretty busy. (Beez 3: coming soon.)

Speaking of Old Dude Night (the real one), it's tonight at Cream City. Older than 25 years old gets you 25% off at the door.

I want to do a year in review type of deal like the Munz did over at the Plat, but again, time, it's not on my side right now.

Eric Risser sent over another batch of photos. Here's a couple to make you excited in the pants:

This spot is hard to skate. There's not exactly too much time to get ready to hit the rather steep bank after you ollie up the curb. Frontside noseblunt by TJ Bohach pictured above.

A great photo of a horrible spot. At least I think it's horrible, I guess a lot of people like it. Anyway, here's Tj with another noseblunt. January 3rd, noseblunt day, pencil it in on your calanders.

I said I would update from every location, and I am making good on my promise. I apologize if i mix up any zs and ys, the keys are switched on this wackz keyboard and I dont like it. It is also reallz hard to get an apostrophe. Barcelona was really, really amazing. I skated quite a bit, even if my shoes are balls, and getting a new pair of my fav Rowleys will set me back 100 to130 bucks. Seriously. That is one thing that I do miss is skate prices. Other than that, stuff is dirt cheap. Booze, cigs, clubs, etc. Which brings me to Berlin. This city is absolutely insane. I had been here two years ago, but I did not explore it like this. Bars, restaurants, clubs in squatted houses playing the best music ever, clubs overlooking the river with cheaper prices than a dive in MKE? I am convinced. I hope I can bring myself to come back home, I could just stay and tough it out...Did I mention the absinthe cocktails? My hunch is that it is a total tourist thing, but whatevs, I am on vacation so go with it. Next on the list is Warsaw, and we are meeting up with Lane and Ania, and Ania is from Warsaw so it should be interesting. Hope all is going well for everyone, if anzone had any requests, hit me up. Until Warsaw.....
