Estabrook DIY – Expanded For Your Pleasure!
Last weekend some new obstacles were built at the Estabrook park DIY project in Shorewood Wisconsin. This project is funded by donations and built by skateboarders in their free time. If you’re interested in donating please visit Sky High Skateshop and drop some dollars into the jug, or press the donation button below and drop in whatever you’d like. The more dollars, the more things can be built. Currently, after this big build, all of the funds are dry.

In one day two brand new obstacles were built, and the China Bank wall was also expanded on both sides. The largest thing created was “The Worm”. “The Spice Must Flow”.

The second brand new obstacle was a manual pad/ledge/quarter pipe combo.
Finally, here’s some photos of the expanded China Bank.
Of course without these people none of this could have happened. I didn’t catch a photo of everyone, but needless to say, everyone was killing it!
As mentioned above, thanks to all, and if you’d like to see more things added to this project please consider donating some dollars.

Fuckin’ A – A Retrospective

A lot of people claim that true love comes along but once in a lifetime. Whether you believe that to be an infantile and childish opinion, or if you hold it as true as words chiseled into stone matters not. All can agree that loss is painful, and moving on is even more difficult. It’s often thought that reflecting on the positive aspects of things that are gone forever can be cathartic, healing, and even necessary if you are ever to become whole again. With that we bring you: Fuckin’ A – A Retrosepctive.
I’m not sure of the first time we met, but I do believe it may have been during the production of Beez 2. If that stands to be true, that means that our first times together were captured on film, a truly rare thing to have memorialized. We had many great times together, but it is important to remember that it wasn’t all good.
There were times of major turmoil – angrily stolen skateboards grasped by the rushing torrents of the man-made river. Witnessing Scoot Babies defiling the contours of the lovely banks and ledges with their disgusting brand of yolo-tail-whipping jerkoffery. How the ledge never really grinded all that well, no matter how much wax was applied. How the banks were filled with dangerous holes and cracked concrete. While these issues are painful to remember, one must realize that no relationship is perfect. The bad times only serve to amplify the good.
Let us now take part in a moment of silence and reflect upon all of the amazing times that were had at Fuckin’ A. Let’s think about the one hundred thousand beers drank. The pouring of various liquid substances all over Bman’s head. The LOLs of the Swamp Babies sending Bsharts board directly into the drink. All of it. Forget not a second spent on this little slice of Heaven on Earth.
This memorial was made possible only by the hard work, cool skating, and wild toomfoolery of the following individuals: Bradford Bishop, Chase Hopper, Bill Kaschner, Drew Rickaby, Mikey Al Wathiqui, Pat Murphy, Jimmy Brickner, Mike Piwowar, Vince Stranc, Dave Kiehl, Max Murphy, Jevon Deede, Josh Ellis, Scott Gall, Nick Mistele, Eric Risser, Russ Clark, Tim Olson, Tj Bohach, Roger, Pat Forster, and the Prince of Fuckin’ A Himself – Matt Nordness.

Above, a bit of semi unreleased BMAN footage that was languishing on my Youtube account. A couple of years ago he wanted me to edit together all of his best clips so he could try to get sponsored by Monster Energy and Skull Kandy, but it didn’t work. I still think its pretty cool skating.
My all time favorite Youtube comment about the BMAN!
