Since this hourly theme seems to be things we do not like, I guess I’ll run with that. One thing that I can say that I really dislike is stupid people. Now, I’m not saying I’m the brightest light bulb in the bushel, but sometimes things can get way too ridiculous.
Take for example, yesterday I went to the store to buy the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King extended version (faggy nerd reference), and I witnessed what might of been two of the stupidest people ever, one a customer trying to return a dvd, and the other, the lady dealing with him. His reason for returning the dvd was because it had “those words at the bottom of the screen”. The lady had absolutely no idea what he was talking about for at least five minutes, but then that little tiny light bulb in her head went off and she exclaimed “Ohhhh, you mean when they talk in like Mexican, so you can understand!!!” This was indeed what he was referring to, and he was angry because the movie had some sections where people talked in German and he didn’t want to read it. At first he wanted another copy of the same dvd because he though maybe his was defective and a new copy wouldn’t have those “words at the bottom”, but then he got the great idea to choose a different movie. Of course this movie would be “The Passion of the Christ”, which is 100% subtitled. The employee being the sharp tack she is at least realized that much and convinced him to get something much more up his alley, the action film “I Robot”. I’m not sure what the moral of this story is, but the scary thing is you can be sure that these people also voted, and it’s pretty obvious who they voted for.
That’s all for now, I have the 11:30 time slot, see you then.
